Did you know that Arlington no longer has Green Treefrogs, Red Squirrels, or Newts, but we do have nesting Bald Eagles, Red Fox and even the occasional River Otter. These are just some of the amazing facts you can learn from the Wildlife of Arlington: A Natural Resource Heritage Technical Report. It took more than three years to inventory our critters, with countless volunteers and staff traipsing the landscape. The inventory was initiated in response to recommendations made within the Public Spaces Master Plan and its findings helped staff develop the Natural Resources Management Plan.
