Neighborhood Conservation Program Review
The County is beginning a review of the Neighborhood Conservation Program, per the County Board’s action to adopt the FY2019-28 Capital Improvement Plan.
At its core, this review is expected to:
- evaluate how well the program is meeting its core mission
- explore opportunities for process and implementation improvements
- consider the potential role of innovation, and
- investigate ways to better leverage the program's civic engagement components
The review process, led by a County Manager appointed community member and staff working group, is starting its work in May 2019. Follow the process and learn with us as updates and details are posted here along the way.
Staff presented a draft charge for the NC Program Review working group to help guide this effort during a status report to the County Board in September 2018. After a public feedback period during fall 2018, comments received informed refinements made by staff to produce a revised draft charge. The document is undergoing additional review and refinement towards a final draft.
